What do iPodder, AudioFeast, Audible and DownloadRadio.org all have in common? Shift in how we consume radio to mobile media devices via mp3. The other common thread that some of the above companies combines is bit torrent p2p technology with RSS 2.0 xml technology that WILL transform how we all get content in the near future. The other major trend that is starting to boom is the number of blog sites posting mp3 files and creating what is called audioblogs. Broadband adoption has grown to the point of no return to the boring text only blog. I am hearing of new online webcast shows starting up everyday. I am getting contacted by people all the time that are interested in starting an online webcast radio show and want to get tips on how to do it. Check out Blogosphereradio.com, WorldTalkRadio.com and Trade Secrets Radio for a sample of this growing trend. I feel like WebTalk is late to the RSS scene as we just launched it last week. Our saving grace is the fact that we are still early to the RSS with mp3 media file enclosure game. I know of some top secret webcast shows that are now in development. I will be announcing them over the next few weeks. |
